Partner programme for independent sales agents

Earn 10% up to 60% revenue share on the merchants you introduce.

You already know business owners who take card payments. Introduce them to Merchant Advice and earn a recurring share of the processing revenue on every account that goes live. Where you sit in the range is set by how much your merchants process.

  • Revenue share of 10% up to 60%, set by processing volume.
  • Commission paid monthly or quarterly.
  • Pass us the lead, or we guide you through onboarding the merchant.
  • A named partner manager who shares industry knowledge directly.
  • No cost to join and no referral targets.
Ways to work

Refer the merchant, or take them through onboarding

Every agent works differently. Choose how involved you want to be with each merchant, and change it case by case.

Refer the merchant

You pass us the merchant's details. We review their current setup, compare providers and handle the application from there.

  • Best for agents who want income without extra workload.
  • Suits occasional introductions alongside your main work.
  • We keep you updated at each stage.

Onboard with our guidance

You stay involved and take the merchant through to going live. Your partner manager guides you through each step of the application.

  • Best for agents who want to own the merchant relationship.
  • Suits agents already selling to business owners face to face.
  • Your partner manager is on hand for every case.

Place a declined merchant

A merchant has been turned down elsewhere or trades in a high-risk sector. Pass them to us and we look for an acquirer that underwrites their sector.

  • Best for agents with merchants other providers will not take.
  • Suits high-risk sectors and unusual business models.
  • We tell you honestly if a case cannot be placed.
Who it's for

Is the sales agent programme a good fit?

The programme suits anyone who already talks to UK business owners and wants a recurring income from card processing.

Self-employed sales reps

You already sell to business owners, whether that is EPOS, telecoms, energy or another business service. Card processing is a natural addition to the conversation.

Former payments salespeople

You know how merchant services work and have contacts who trust you. Introduce them to a broker that compares providers instead of selling one.

Business introducers and networkers

You meet a steady flow of business owners through networking groups, trade bodies or local business circles. A payments review gives you something useful to offer them.

How sales agent commission works

Agents earn a revenue share of 10% up to 60% of the processing revenue on each merchant they introduce. There are no upfront fees or one-off payments.

The terms in plain English

  • Set by processing volume - the more your merchants process, the higher your share within the 10% to 60% range.
  • Paid monthly or quarterly - commission is paid on a regular schedule, agreed when you join.
  • Contractual - the term of your commission is set out in a written partner agreement, so you know exactly what you are signing up to.
  • Revenue share only - there are no upfront bonuses, per-terminal or per-account payments. You earn from what your merchants process.

We will talk you through where your merchants are likely to sit in the range before you sign anything. No inflated projections.

What your merchants get

What your merchants get from the introduction

An introduction only pays if the merchant is better off. These are the reasons merchants say yes.

More than one provider

We compare across multiple acquirers and gateways. If one provider is a poor fit for your merchant, there are others to try.

High-risk and declined merchants

A merchant turned down elsewhere is not a dead lead. We work with specialist acquirers who underwrite these sectors properly.

UK-based support for your merchants

Merchants get UK-based customer service and account management from their provider, so they are not left in a call centre queue.

An honest review

If a merchant is already on a good deal, we say so. That protects your credibility with every merchant you introduce.

Compare the options

Single-provider agent, referral fee or Merchant Advice?

Most sales agents choose between selling for one provider, a one-off referral scheme, or a broker that pays a recurring share.

Option What you get What it leaves with you Merchant Advice view
Selling for a single provider One product, one rate card and one underwriting policy. Merchants the provider declines, and merchants who do not fit its pricing. Fine if every merchant fits that provider. Most books of merchants do not.
One-off referral fee schemes A single payment when a merchant signs. No income once the fee is paid, however much the merchant processes. Quick money, but nothing builds over time.
Merchant Advice sales agent A recurring revenue share of 10% up to 60%, across multiple providers. Introducing merchants, or guiding them through onboarding if you choose. Built for agents who want recurring income and more than one provider to place with.

Frequently asked questions

How much commission do sales agents earn?
Sales agents earn a revenue share of 10% up to 60% of the processing revenue on each merchant they introduce. Where you sit in that range is set by how much your merchants process. We never promise the top of the range up front.
How often is commission paid?
Commission is paid monthly or quarterly. The schedule and payment method are agreed and set out in your partner agreement when you join.
Is commission paid for life?
No. Commission is contractual, and the term is set out in your written partner agreement. We would rather be clear about that up front than promise lifetime income in a headline.
Are there upfront bonuses or per-terminal payments?
No. The programme pays a recurring revenue share only. There are no upfront bonuses, per-terminal payments or per-account payments.
Do I have to close the deal myself?
No. You can simply refer the merchant and we take it from there. If you would rather stay involved, your partner manager will guide you through getting the merchant onboarded.
Is there any training?
There is no formal training programme. Instead, your partner manager shares industry knowledge directly, case by case, so you learn on real merchants rather than from a course.
Is there a cost to join or a minimum number of referrals?
No. There is no joining fee and no referral target. You earn on the merchants you introduce, at your own pace.
Can I introduce high-risk or previously declined merchants?
Yes. Complex cases are a core part of what we do. A previous decline often means a poor provider fit rather than an unworkable business, and we work with acquirers who underwrite these sectors properly.
